10 Years Building Stronger, More Connected Teams

Corporate Holiday Parties in Tampa Bay
Your team has been to the hotel ballroom. They’ve had the chicken. They’ve done the small talk near the dessert table and left at 8:40.
This is the other option: 40 acres on Mobbly Bayou in Oldsmar, ziplines over the water, and a group of colleagues watching their CFO decide whether to step off a 65 ft platform. People talk about it in January. Nobody has ever talked about the chicken.
Empower Adventures runs corporate holiday parties from November through early January, on weekdays and weekends, for teams that would rather do something together than sit across from each other.
What a Holiday Party Here Actually Looks Like
Your group arrives, gets geared up, and goes through a guided course together — ziplines strung across the bayou, aerial obstacles in the treetops, and the Leap of Faith, a 30-foot jump off a pole that separates the people who said they’d do it from the people who actually do.
Guides run the whole thing. Nobody on your team has to organize anything, keep score, or make a speech. Challenge by choice is the rule: anyone can watch, and watching a coworker talk themselves into the jump is most of the entertainment anyway.
Typical run of the day:
- Arrival and gear-up — 20 minutes, waivers done online in advance
- Guided course — roughly 2 to 2.5 hours on the ziplines and aerial elements
- Food and hanging around — [[FILL: pavilion / covered area name]], as long as you’ve booked it for
Group Sizes and How the Day Runs
Tours go out in groups of up to 10 with a guide. That isn’t a limit on your party, it’s how the day gets structured. A team of 40 goes out as four staggered departures, so while one group is on the course, the others are eating, drinking and watching from below.
It means nobody stands in a line for an hour, and it means the day works for people who want to zipline and people who came for the company.
We can take groups up to 150 or more.
December Dates and How Early to Book
December fills first, and it fills from the top down.
If you’re planning a December party, the useful move is to hold a date now and finalize headcount later. Weekday slots stay open longest, and a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon is genuinely the best version of this day, but we can accommodate any day you wish.
What It Costs
A holiday party here is based on head count and activities, if you know your budget we will work around that to give you the very best experience.
Catering
We arrange the catering. Tell us your headcount, your budget and any dietary requirements, and we handle the ordering and delivery through our local partners. Food is set up and waiting when your group comes off the course.
If It Rains
Florida in December is mostly perfect, mid-70s, low humidity, the best zipline weather of the year. When it isn’t, we run in light rain and pause for lightning, which usually clears within the hour. If you decide to reschedule we’ll find another time to make your special day happen.

Holiday Party FAQ
For December, six to eight weeks. For the first two weeks of December, earlier.
Totally get it. Heights aren’t everyone’s thing, and that’s fine. Our EMERGE program is all ground-based challenges, no harness required. Or run SOAR, where part of the group ziplines while the rest takes on ground games. We’ll also build a fully ground-based day if that’s what your team’s comfort levels call for.
This is our specialty. Our “Challenge by Choice” approach means no one is forced to do anything uncomfortable. We’ve successfully accommodated team members with disabilities, fears, and varying fitness levels. Some participate fully on the course. Others take on ground-based support roles that are equally valuable to team success. We design the experience so everyone contributes meaningfully. Most participants end up surprising themselves once they’re here. Your team will support each other through the challenges and that’s where the magic happens.
Yes! If bringing your entire team to Oldsmar creates logistical challenges, or if you’re concerned about liability of off-site activities, we offer mobile team building programs. We bring elements of the Empower Adventures experience directly to your campus, park, or event venue. It’s not identical to our full course, but it delivers similar team-building benefits with added convenience. Ask us about mobile options when you request your quote.
Love it! Returning teams are our favorite. Let us know you’re a repeat client and we’ll pull your past itinerary and rebuild it.
First, every year. If you’re planning for December, send us two or three dates that work for your team now. If December is already full, early January works well too: same course, same program, and a calmer calendar for your team.
Your group gets private time on the course in staggered waves, so nobody stands around in a line. Your team takes on the zip lines and team challenges together, then gathers for food, which we arrange through our local catering partners. Tell us your headcount and date and we plan the timing. Holiday parties run November through early January for groups of 10 to 100, with weekday and evening times. It’s the same guides and program behind our team building in Tampa Bay. Request your holiday party quote.
Yes. We’ve taken people with disabilities, including a paraplegic, through our course. We’ve worked with teams where some members had knee injuries, back problems, or significant weight concerns. We always find a way. During planning, we’ll ask about any accommodations needed and design the experience accordingly. The goal is meaningful participation for everyone, not identical participation.
Empowerment doesn’t stop for rain but it does pause for lighting. We operate in light rain (which actually makes it more adventurous!). Florida afternoon thunderstorms are typically brief. We’ll wait them out. If weather makes the course unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule. We understand you’re coordinating multiple schedules, so we’re flexible and reasonable about weather-related changes.
Closed-toe shoes, clothes they can move in, and a jacket for December mornings. No skirts or loose scarves.
